Our local area is filled with so much do to, all of which is within easy access. We are only 10 minutes from junction 30 of the M4, but are located in rural Cefn Mably.
Cardiff's town centre & Cardiff Bay is a 20 minute drive and is packed with excellent shopping, bars, restaurants and theatres. Equally Newport town centre has currently benefited from a multi million pound regeneration project and Friars Walk has plenty to offer in terms of places to eat.
The award winning Celtic Manor is only a short drive for Golfing, Spa days and a Michelin restaurant. With - in 2 mins drive is Cardiff Golf Centre offering 9 holes, crazy golf, driving range and a soft play centre for kids
On our doorstep is the The Cefn Mably Arms - a local country pub should you want to dine locally, or alternatively a short walk takes you to our local farm shop the Moody Sow that has also won awards for its produce so you won't be with out the essentials for your BBQ and breakfast.
The now renowned brewery ‘Tiny Rebel Brewing company’ is just a 15 minute drive and offers fabulous tours of its brewery along with a fantastic restaurant and bar offering all it craft ales and gin’s!!
Cardiff
Just 6 miles from our countryside location is the centre of Cardiff and Cardiff Bay plus all its highlights. Whether your looking for shopping, food & drink or sightseeing Cardiff has it all. Quirky arcades, big high street chains, castles, parks and not forgetting the Bay which is packed full of bars, restaurants and the millennium centre all on a waterside location… And forgetting the rugby and the best stadium in the world!!
The lakes/fishing
Aside from the lake that the cabin is sited on we have another 6 lakes for you to fish from.
The Lodge Lake - This is our largest lake and also holds our largest head of Carp. Fish reside in here to 37lb with over 7 different 30’s and over 100 20’s
The Carp & Horseshoe - These lakes are also specimen lake with the emphasis more on runs that target fish. Lots of high doubles and 20’s with fish to 26lb
The shop
We now have an onsite shop offering wines, beers & spirits plus a selection of food and everyday essentials that you may forget.
Breakfast essentials such as bread, milk and cereal are on offer along with goodies like popcorn, chocolate, crisps and nuts
A good selection of white, red and rose are available along with beers and prosecco
The shop is in the reception area that you check into on arrival and is open everyday

Cardiff Angling Centre is our on site tackle shop that boast one of the best tackle stocks in South Wales. over 4500 square feet filled to the brim with Carp, Coarse tackle and bait.
All top brands have a great showing instore along with cheaper alternative offering something for everyone

the hot tubs
These hot tubs are fab... From the urban cedar hot tub company they are perfect for 2 people to relax, the jets can be adjusted to suit your needs and they display many different colours..
Each cabin has a hot tub which is solely for your use.. whether you like a late night soak or early morning wake up they are the perfect tool to help you relax
Sited to the side of the cabin to give you maximum privacy yet offing fabulous views over the lake!
